Harbor Claims is committed to standards of performance that meets or exceeds our legal and ethical responsibilities, and to act in good faith while dealing fairly with the public. We will accomplish our mission, consistent with our operating philosophy, through adherence to the following principles: 1. Investigations, evaluations and settlements will be conducted without prejudice and we will adjust each claim on its individual merits 2. Prompt payment will be made of all meritorious and undisputed claims 3. Investigations will be prompt and thorough, as is reasonably required 4. All claims will be evaluated based upon available evidence with loss reserves established in a timely manner to reflect the true value of each claim 5. A clear and reasonable explanation of our position will be given on all claims. Specific reference will be made to the insurance policy, the known facts of the claim and applicable law which forms the basis of our adjustment 6. We will communicate promptly with our customers and will respond to telephone calls, letters and other correspondence in a timely manner in order to expedite the settlement of a claim |
